Demian's leadership extends beyond individual cases. He served in prominent roles like Chair of Legal Aid Charlotte's Local Advisory Council and Chair of the Wells Fargo Legal Department Enterprise Pro Bono Steering Committee. In these positions, he played a key role in fostering partnerships with global law firms' pro bono programs, national legal aid organizations, and local pro bono offices. He was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as a Legal Leader and a finalist for the 2018 Charlotte Business Journal Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Service Award. He is the recipient of the 2017 Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy Outstanding Individual Pro Bono Service Award for his work in supporting migrant families in child custody and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status matters.
